Conquering Your Fears of the Subpoena Process with Nicol

There’s a lot of anxiety associated with subpoenas, so most therapists just avoid discussing them. And when you're in denial, you're unlikely to handle the subpoena process effectively or set your practice up for success.

Subpoenas can be scary, but Nicol encourages you to embrace discomfort instead of letting fear control you.

Nicol is an LCSW, a subject matter expert, and an expert witness in the United States. She learned the law through being subpoenaed herself and has used this knowledge to guide fellow therapists through the court process. After joining Business School, she realized what she was destined to do: teach therapists how to handle court-related requests and prepare for court hearings.

In this episode, Nicol gives advice on how to avoid the common mistakes therapists make, what to do before and after getting a subpoena, and your role as a therapist in court. She also talks about the upcoming zynnyme free training, Master Your Private Practice Subpoena Process on June 8th, where she’ll in-depth about creating your court policy and consent and ensuring you’re paid for your time if you do go to court.
