Therapists: It is ok to change... even during a pandemic

As healers, we typically give our whole heart, and are constantly holding ourselves to this higher standard of doing more and being better than the day before. In light of COVID-19, many of us are in a position where we are trying to figure out how to do more with even less.

Business retreats and personal retreats may conjure up images of getting out of town, relaxing without distraction at a beautiful spa or golf course - something that feels impossible to do right now. But, a business retreat is a necessity, not a luxury, and it is something that can be done with little to no budget even during trying times like a quarantine.

The trick is reconnecting with your inner knowing of who you want to serve, figuring out where those people are, and what type of marketing really connects with you.
What Numbers Do You Need to Know To Keep You and Your Business Safe
This week I sat down with a therapist who was extremely fearful about how Covid had impacted their practice, their income, and their caseload. We looked at the number to assess the damage, and guess what we found? Income had increased almost $1k from February to March.
Many of us trust our "gut" when it comes to business and that gut is pretty overwhelmed for most of us right now. So, let's support our guts and intuition with some data points. Simple Private Practice Marketing During Stressful Times
Marketing Is An Act Of Caring About Others

If your client, or their child is quarantined

Training Updates from Houston, TX
We were delighted to be invited by the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to present at their Private Practice Success conference last week. We met therapists at all stages of private practice and got to support them through trainings and conversations. Therapists earned CE units learning about how to set an ethical fee and charge it with integrity to get better outcomes with clients, and how to market to create better clinical outcomes.
We LOVED (and hated) having therapists come up to us after our trainings and say “I wish I’d heard this information 10 years ago!”
