Creating an Authentic Practice and Serving Value-Aligned Clients with Shannon

Shannon, LCSWA, provides anxiety, depression, and trauma treatment to clients in Fayetteville, North Carolina and the state of NC (she offers fully remote/telehealth services). Her specialties include talk therapy and EMDR for clients within the millennial age range.

Early into her private practice journey, Shannon found office space in a building filled with experienced therapists who owned their own practices. After speaking with them, she became interested in EMDR and ultimately learned the method through a local instructor.

When the pandemic started, Shannon left her office to transition into telehealth services. Currently, she works with 12-15 ideal clients per week and has plenty of time for self-care and to take care of the business.

Prior to the Bootcamp program, Shannon felt “aimless” and accepted unaligned clients out of fear, lacking clarity about business processes and her vision for the future. Now, she’s confident in referring out clients who aren’t a good fit and is able to be her authentic self, frequently attracting new value-aligned clients interested in her favorite method of therapy.
