Private Practice Business Advice

You graduated from school and feel ready to venture into the world of private practice only to find out that graduate school didn’t prepare you to run your own business.

Whether you’re just getting started or have been a private practice owner for years, solid business advice from private practice consultants can set you and your clients up for success. Read along as zynnyme goes over some of our business tips for therapists looking to run a successful private practice and a happy life.

Create a Private Practice Business Plan

Our first piece of business advice is to build out a business plan. A business plan helps keep you organized so you can run a successful private practice and best support your clients. Whether you’re in the process of kickstarting your private practice or are successful and growing, you have plenty of ideas about how you’re going to run your business.

Maybe you’ve thought about the possibility of a business plan but felt intimidated by what that would entail. If a business plan makes you think of reports and business language you aren’t familiar with, know that it’s so much more than that, and yes, it’s also vital to the success of your private practice!

How to Build a Business Plan for Therapists

Determining what’s working and what needs room for improvement within your private practice is crucial to its growth. While you may think a business plan is only for new therapists launching a business, it is actually just as important for established private practice owners as well.

If you need assistance building out a business plan, we have a training on how to do so in less than 1 hour coming up LIVE from Sept. 19-22! Each live is dedicated to a specific group of therapists based on where you’re at within your own private practice, including the following: starting a counseling practice, growing a private practice, learning to love your successful practice, and transforming your group practice.

We’ll teach you how to create a business plan that best suits your private practice, is tailored to fit you and your clients’ needs, and encourages you to take the actionable steps to build or continue to grow the practice of your dreams.

Here's some information about the four live trainings to help you determine which one will best suit you and your business needs based on which stage you’re at in private practice:
