Passion to Private Practice Niche with Megan

Is finding your niche an important step to building and growing a successful private practice?

You've probably heard the word “niche” a lot over the past couple of years. The truth is: The more you niche, the better it’ll be to provide exceptional clinical outcomes for your ideal clients.

So, what’s the easiest way to find your niche in private practice?

The answer is to start with passion. Because the work you do should be something that excites you. Passion is also contagious, and it makes you stand out from the crowd.

After working in the military, Megan, Psy.D., ABPP, a member of the Business School for Therapists community, realized it wasn’t a good fit. So, she decided to turn her passion into a therapeutic application.

That’s how geek therapy was found. Essentially, geek therapy combines nerd culture artifacts into therapeutic processes as a way to foster rapport with clients.

Now, after becoming a certified geek therapist and working professionally in the field for quite some time, not only did she develop a certification for therapeutic game masters, but she also has a book coming out in March 2023 on how to do tabletop role-playing therapy.

In this episode, Megan shares how she stepped into integrity and authenticity to create a one-of-a-kind niche she successfully implemented in her practice. She also offers valuable advice on finding the perfect niche for you.
