Your experience with Bootcamp in one sentence: I learned so much, it's truly immeasureable... best decision ever!

How were you feeling before you signed up for Bootcamp? : I was feeling very nervous to spend so much on a program, but there really isn't anything else out there that provides the level of support and information that is found in this program. I was so lost and confused... I literally hadn't started anything, didn't have an office, a website... nuthin! I was scared and lacked confidence... I wasn't sure this is what I wanted to do.

What did your private practice look like before Bootcamp started?: I had 0 clients! As I mentioned above, I didn't have an office, a website, an ideal client, a rate to charge... really didn't know how any of this worked. I am still in very early stages, but I am really growing! I didn't know what the heck I was doing and really needed the help with starting from the ground up... I needed the "101" class and a whole lot more because I didn't want to stop there. I had taken a few "how to start a private practice" courses and had been reading... but didn't really know what I was doing.

How do you feel after Business School Bootcamp for Therapists?: I am doing so much better! I know have an office, clients, a website... and most importantly, I'm gaining confidence! I'm still pretty early stages and don't 100% know what I'm doing (when will I ever, ha, 100% know), but I am really figuring it out. I felt I had the clinical piece, but the business side is a whole other business. I didn't even know how to start any of this, and I'm just so grateful for what I learned! I feel like this program prepares you for the beginning stages and also carries it on through to the later stages. I feel like I will be able to continue utilizing this program forever, and that is so great!

How has your private practice and life changed after Bootcamp (processes, clinically, work-life balance, financially)?: Since I'm still pretty early stages, I'm still figuring out exactly what I want my private practice to look like. I'm continuing to develop my niche, but am actually looking at this! Before, I didn't really know what my niche was, at all. The work-life balance piece and fee piece was really helpful to get early on... so I'm actually starting my private practice with this knowledge. I've had calls where clients ask me what my fee is, and I just tell them! I'm not nervous about it... and guess what... I have a few full fee clients! It's all new, so still working on this.

What would you say to someone else who is on the fence about joining Business School Bootcamp for Therapists?: Do it! It's so worth it... I know it seems like a lot of money when you're just starting out, but you truly get it back x 100. This is knowledge that you will need... and knowledge that you didn't even know you needed. Even my husband was like "yeah, that's the best program you signed up for"... for reals! I'm just so happy that I did this and will continue to attend each year and this course will be able to help you every step of the way... be it your beginning, intermediate, or advanced stages of your practice. You really are investing in yourself with this one!

What do you wish you had known about private practice before you started?: Ummm… everything... I guess the ideal client piece is really important, getting a good website... I feel like I'm getting my website refined in a way that speaks to my ideal client and I've had people say "your website really spoke to me" and "that really made sense to me"... that was such a high compliment! Also, for the website, I was originally paying a website to create a website for me. I won't say the name because I wasn't happy with them. Because of this course, I was able to learn how to create my website on my own... it feels a lot more like me and I feel very proud of it. I really thought I wouldn't be able to do this because it seemed impossible... but I kept pausing and rewinding that initial training that Miranda made and I figured it out! Wow, just felt kinda proud of myself :). So grateful for Kelly & Miranda, they're great!!
