Tiffany Almost Doubled Her Income... Again

Since the last time we checked in on Tiffany’s story, so much has changed, so we thought we could share an update. In 2020, during the pandemic, Tiffany has expanded to a 2nd business in Philadelphia, putting her practice at 3 locations, is buying her dream home for her family, and took her entire group practice online. She’s one of our runner-ups for the Business School for Therapists Spokesperson of 2020 award. Listen in on her updates below.

September of 2016, Tiffany was feeling defeated, hopeless, frustrated, and alone. She had all the knowledge and passion but zero concept of how to run a successful business. She was looking for answers.

When we first talked to Tiffany on the phone, she shared that her practice was all over the place. It would move from 20 clients to 8 clients, then back up to 12, without any rhyme or reason. She was feeling scared and was looking at part-time jobs to give her consistent income while she built her practice. She was hesitant to invest in her practice financially, a little worried about whether she’d really commit to implementing.

Despite her fears about making such a big investment and whether she would grow, September 20th of 2016 she enrolled in Business School for Therapists.

Fast-forward just a few years and she has a thriving, happy group practice with three locations.

She shared these words with us on December 16, 2019. They made us cry. Why? More than her financial success, she is living a balanced, joyful life focused on what really matters!

Business School changed everything in my life both professionally and personally.

Last night we had a warm loving holiday party for our growing team of highly skilled and compassionate therapists and their significant others and even three babies! Our house was full of cheer and warmth and I truly felt like I had reached everything I wanted in life: A close family of clinicians who helps others with their whole hearts and get paid what we all deserve so we can enjoy life and care for our families. Business School did that. Kelly and Miranda did that and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

Before Business School, I was feeling defeated, hopeless, frustrated, and alone. I had all the knowledge and passion but zero concept of how to run a successful business.

After Business School, everything changed: our processes are a well-oiled machine so everything runs smoothly. We use Trello and Simple Practice to manage everything in the practice. Clinically we can focus on what’s most important for our clients and our own self-care so we can show up fully. Work-life is inspired by these phenomenal ladies to have boundaries with my business and professional time so that I can be fully present for myself and my family.

We work hard AND smart and it shows in the amount of time we have to raise our daughter and connect with friends and family. Financially our business almost doubled in income in 2019. And I’m sure it was close to that double every year since doing BSB!!

Kelly and Miranda asked me what I wish I’d known before starting a private practice. My response? Everything that boot camp taught!

Business School for Therapists increased my confidence as a business owner. I increased my hourly rate with confidence. Business School helped me get clarity on my ideal clients, streamline my processes so I could spend more time on the things I loved, and provide even better clinical services. I got connected with awesome healers from around the world.

The Business School materials gave me a clear roadmap for what I need to do to have the life and business I want, helped me feel more confident referring out clients that aren't good fits, gave me the confidence to say no to insurance contracts that didn't serve me or my clients, gave me clarity on what I've been doing wrong and how to make fixes, and helped me avoid problems in the future by setting things up the right way.

What would you say to someone else who is on the fence about joining Business School for Therapists?: Do it! It’s the best most profitable and emotionally supportive investment you’ll ever make in your life. I promise! Business School helped me reach my first 5-figure month, saves me hours each month, and helps me avoid burnout.
