The True Meaning of Private Practice Success with Maya
Have you ever wondered what success truly means for you in your private practice journey? Is it about the number of clients or income, or is there something more?
For Maya, a member of the Business School for Therapists community, success is about working with clients she loves and being able to show up for herself and her loved ones.
As a social worker with almost ten years of experience, Maya decided to start her own practice in March 2021. However, things didn't go as smoothly as she hoped. She found herself taking on too many clients, signing up for all the insurance panels, and feeling overwhelmed.
But, through the courageous decision to let go of her insurance contracts, she’s been able to build a thriving cash-pay practice with a full caseload of 14 clients a week and a schedule that allows her to be present for herself and her clients.
In this episode, Maya shares the true meaning of success from her perspective and how she dropped insurance panels and created a thriving cash-pay practice with a full caseload. She also offers tips on how to create a private practice that brings you joy and fulfillment.
