Success Story: Erica

Your Experience with Business School for Therapists in one sentence: It builds confidence and connects you to a community of support.

How were you feeling before you signed up for Business School?: Anxious and excited

What did your private practice look like before Business School started?: I signed up for BSB right when I started my practice. I started my practice Jan 2018 and Business School started in the spring. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I have always been the type that likes to jump right in the deep end of a pool. I feel like in a way Business School was lifeguard / swim instructor there cheering me on and teaching new skills. I could look to the community if when I needed support. I'm glad I picked a pool with a lifeguard rather than completely going it alone. :-)

How do you feel after Business School for Therapists?: I feel so much more confident as a business owner. Additionally, I feel supported and connected to resources. To be honest, after two years I still haven't completed every single part of each module. There's sooooo much great information in there. Initially, I thought I had to do every little thing immediately and that was totally overwhelming. Now I go in at my own pace to continue to grow and improve my business. Each bootcamp period the accountability helps me make sure I'm doing more and more. Even with not not yet completing every single little thing I feel confident because I know I have access to so many great resources and support.

How have your private practice and life changed after Business School (processes, clinically, work-life balance, financially)?: I have more work life balance than I ever have in my career. I started my practice with a vision in mind for what I wanted that to look like. BSB gave me the confidence and knowledge to make that happen.

What would you say to someone else who is on the fence about joining Business School for Therapists?: Do it!!! Invest in yourself and your business. This is a great community and there are so many amazing resources. The lifetime membership is probably my favorite part.

What do you wish you had known about private practice before you started?: I wish I started sooner! It is possible to be your own boss. This works.
