Building a Successful Private Practice from Group Practice with Ross

Ross, an LPC based in Berkley, Pennsylvania, runs his thriving private practice, Mr. Ross Private Practice. While his initial career path was centered around mental health, Ross discovered his true calling after working in a group practice, where he was underpaid but gained invaluable experience. Eventually, he realized his potential to run his own business. He leaped into private practice, setting up his business in just two weeks—an experience he doesn't recommend rushing, but one that helped him learn quickly.

Starting with a focus on addiction therapy, Ross leveraged his experience working with alcohol and drug addiction to carve out a niche. Though he encountered challenges with his demographic fit, being a young male therapist didn't deter him—it allowed him to connect with clients who found his perspective valuable. Now, Ross helps his clients navigate their recovery journeys and finds time to write, working on a book between sessions and cancellations.

Tune in to hear his inspiring story and gain insights into how you can create your own path to success in the mental health field.
