Embraced My Niche and Full in Less Than 6 Months!

When we teach marketing we talk about speaking in a way that your ideal client really feels heard, understand, and safe enough to reach out with that first phone call. While you can have more than one niche or specialization, you have to start with one, get clear, and get that working... and it can be SCARY!

A new grad and counselor in Charlotte, NC opened a private practice that specializes in working with moms. But, the path to that niche wasn't direct. Hear as Mollie talks about starting planning for her private practice while she was still in school, panicking, pivoting, and then coming back to finally embrace what she was really put on this planet to do!

Starting a new private practice and being full in less than 6 months sounds exciting, but there can be some major fear and doubts along the way. Listen to this story today and get inspired!

I can't tell you how elated I was when I opened up my email Monday to find this email that she was almost full, and talk on Friday and she had just filled up!

"I owe you a HUGE thank you! Yesterday I hit the 6 month mark since opening my practice. To my shock and awe I am one client away from implementing a waitlist. My practice is thriving. I owe so much of my tremendous success to you and our ‘Come to Jesus’ coaching call. You told me everything I didn’t want, but needed to hear. The hard truth was difficult to swallow, but you were spot on. When we hung up I erased nearly my entire website and FINALLY mustered up the courage to claim my niche {completely terrified and 100% positive my practice would fail}. I reworded every page of my site, only ‘speaking’ to my ideal client and solely marketing to my niche. (A single social media group post prompted over 30 calls in ONE day!!) I am elated and full of gratitude that my practice is now fully comprised of my ideal client. It is because of this that I LOVE what I do, look forward to every session (seriously), and feel full of joy and purpose. Miranda, THANK YOU!! You have changed my life!"

I hope her story inspires you. For those of you who are panicking because you want to have a multi-niche practice- don't. You can do that. But, you need to figure out that first niche, get the marketing on point, get clients coming in, and THEN move on to marketing another niche. But, like Mollie- you might just find that you only have so much space in your practice! Whether you enroll in our Business School Bootcamp for Therapists is less important to us than making sure that you KNOW deep down KNOW that it IS possible to be successful in private practice.

For those of you who love nitty gritty details: Mollie enrolled in Business School Bootcamp on April 12, 2017. Bootcamp officially kicked off April 30, 2017, and this video was recorded on March 16, 2018. She embraced her niche and revamped her marketing after our coaching session on October 3, 2017, and she was full by March 16, 2018. On October 3, 2017, she had exactly one client that she had seen one time.

Miranda Palmer

I have successfully built a cash pay psychotherapy practice from scratch on a shoestring budget. I have also failed a licensed exam by 1 point (only to have the licensing board send me a later months later saying I passed), started an online study group to ease my own isolation and have now reached thousands of therapists across the country, helped other therapists market their psychotherapy practices, and helped awesome business owners move from close to closing their doors, to being profitable in less than 6 weeks. I've failed at launching online programs. I've had wild success at launching online programs. I've made mistakes in private practice I've taught others how to avoid my mistakes. You can do this. You were called to this work. Now- go do it! Find some help or inspiration as you need it- but do the work!
