Meet Jennifer, an LCSW and hypnotherapist in New Jersey, whose journey into private practice is both inspiring and insightful. In a sit-down interview, Jennifer shares how she built a thriving private practice from Day 1 and why she believes hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for deep healing.

From an early age, Jennifer was fascinated by human behavior. Growing up, she was naturally curious about understanding the emotions and dynamics around her. This curiosity led her to study psychology and philosophy, with a strong interest in neuroscience. Although she once considered medical school, Jennifer ultimately pursued an MSW at Rutgers University, where she developed a passion for clinical work.

After working in inpatient psychiatry, Jennifer transitioned into private practice in 2006. She credits much of her early success to building strong professional relationships—one of which led a psychiatrist to offer her office space and a steady stream of clients right away. While she acknowledges the role of luck, Jennifer also highlights the importance of networking, doing great clinical work, and staying open to opportunities.

Today, Jennifer specializes in clinical hypnotherapy, helping clients heal from deep trauma, chronic health conditions, and emotional pain. She loves working with individuals who have already done significant inner work and are now seeking self-actualization and transformation. She believes that true healing starts from within, and hypnotherapy allows clients to access their subconscious patterns in a powerful way.

Jennifer also teaches advanced hypnotherapy certification courses on the East Coast and continues to grow her practice. She encourages other therapists to invest in ongoing education, mentorship, and business skills to build a sustainable, fulfilling career.
