Social Media Management Tools and Costs

So we have talked about why you need social media, how to plan your strategy and tips and tricks for posting. Lastly, I want to share with you the tools we have used to get our social media out to the world.

This by no means is an exhaustive list. Google any social media management list and you will find a ton of information. These just seem to the be the ones we recommend to our coaching clients, have used ourselves and have a low cost or no cost entry point.

Keep in mind, with tools you want to see not only the function of the tool but any analytics that come with it. Often for a single clinician in a private practice, there is no need to upgrade and most of us can get by on the free stuff. So let’s get started!

Buffer App: Think of it like a gas tank for your social media. Load it up and let it automate posts for you. You can post on a schedule or immediately. It offers suggestions for your newsfeed, can link up to your blog so you can share straight from the app and it is simple/easy to use. You can link multiple social media accounts such as Google +, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.  Investment: Free to $102 per year

Hootsuite: Monitor all of your social media feeds from one place with Hootesuite. You can set tabs for each platform and then manage posting, retweets and social sharing. It is one of the most popular tools for managing social media.  Investment: Free to $10/mo

There are other recipes that do nifty things for your business, but to keep it simple you can link your social media accounts together here. Investment: Free

Tweepi: This has sky rocketed our twitter account. With tweepi you can flush unfollowers, cleanup inactives, reciprocate following and follow new people on twitter.
